Promoting Women's Participation

Funded by U.S. Embassy in Rwanda & Kansas State University ยท Huye District

This project initiated a women leaders' forum in Huye District that advocates for GBV prevention and the inclusion of gender in district plans and Imihigo. The forum brings together women in leadership positions, district staff, and National Women Council coordinators and members.

Women leaders increased their knowledge and skills on leadership, decision-making, women's empowerment and participation โ€” playing their role and influence as stipulated in their position descriptions in Huye.
